Fuji XE-1 vs X-Pro1 Review & Comparison

[x_video_embed no_container=”true”][/x_video_embed]

I enjoyed testing, and comparing the Fujifilm X-E1 and X-Pro1 cameras for a hands-on comparison. Opting for a mix of street photography in Barcelona, some landscapes and plenty of portraits, I enjoyed putting the two cameras through their paces.

You’re busy; so I’ll cut to the chase and tell you that the Fuji X-E1 gives you the same amazing image quality of the innovative X-trans sensor but in a smaller, lighter body. It’s a bargain.

The Optical viewfinder and PC flash sync port of the X-Pro1 are great features; but aren’t worth the extra money in my opinion. The auto-focus is still quite slow on both cameras so you might also consider the Fuji X100s, which claims to have the fastest auto-focus in the world.

These cameras are great at high ISOs. They do smudge detail a bit with the noise reduction, and the high ISO sensitivities values are a bit exaggerated in practice, but especially paired with the fast 35mm f1.4, they’re low light kings.

Love them; get the Fuji X-E1 if you want a small, high quality camera that excels in low-light.
